Dream Job that Came True

I had been reviewing and writing down my dreams each morning when I woke up and also using the A Mantra for remembrance and the O Mantra for intuition quite regularly. I was looking for a job and there was a possibility that an opening might become available at a company that I used to work for. A friend at the company had told me about the job possibility a few months before.

Starting this new job was going to be a bit awkward because the owners had decided that several people in key positions weren’t a good fit for the company. They wanted to make major changes, and one of the jobs affected was the one I would be taking over. Yet the job seemed like exactly what I was looking for. It was part time with flexible hours and I would be able to continue devoting lots of time to my spiritual practices and courses.

My friend called me and asked if I could come to a lunch meeting to discuss the details and timing of the position with her and the owners. During the meeting, the plan we came up with was that I would start about six weeks later. The woman currently in the position would be informed at the end of the day on a Friday and then I was to start on the following Monday. I knew I would just need to figure out how to do things on my own due to the circumstances. At this point, it seemed highly likely that the new job would pan out, yet it was still a long time off with many unknowns.

One night, a few weeks after the meeting, I dreamed that a woman I had never met before was training me to take over her job. She was not very tall, an older lady, with short hair and quite energetic and assertive. She showed me how she kept things, and walked me through the steps and different parts of the job very thoroughly, showing me how to do them. There was also a part in the dream about the environment at the place I was working. I had this feeling of it being disorganized and inefficient. Things seemed dusty, and haphazardly placed. In the dream one of the first things I did in the new job was change the furniture, and clean, dust and organize things.

The next morning I wrote the dream down and wondered what it meant. I was looking for symbolic meaning in the dream like learning new spiritual skills, cleaning and organizing my inner psychology and so on. It never occurred to me at the time that it might have been a premonition of a real life event. Up to that point, I had never had a dream that came true. And the event itself just seemed completely unlikely. I did not expect to have the luxury of training at the new job since the woman currently doing the job was going to be let go. Based on what I was told about her personality, it certainly didn’t seem very likely that she would want to provide any training for a new person who would be taking over her job. I had never met her or visited the office I would soon be working in, at the company’s new location. So it just never entered my mind that the dream could be a premonition of a real event.

The appointed day that the new job was to begin approached. Unexpectedly, on the Tuesday the week before I was to start, I suddenly got a call from one of my new bosses. He said he had already given notice to the woman whose job I was taking over and that she had graciously offered to train me and could I come in on Friday to go over everything? So I went to the new job that Friday and finally met this woman. It was the same woman in my dream! She was older, not very tall, with short hair and she had this energetic and assertive way about her. She proceeded to show me how she kept things, and how she did her job, just like what happened in the dream.

After I started, it was immediately obvious that the office flow was very inefficient. There was a huge bookcase behind the desk, which was mostly empty, that didn’t match the other furniture. The filing cabinets which were used constantly were placed on the other side of the desk, so that to use them, you had to get up and walk around the desk. The first weekend after I started, my husband came in to help me rearrange things. We took out the bookcase and moved the filing cabinets around. Everything fell into place. The last thing I did was dust, clean and vacuum everything. Just like in the dream, everything was organized and put in order so that work could flow more efficiently. I didn’t even realize until a few days later how accurate the premonition had been. I pulled out my diary and went over the dream again, and was quite amazed the way this little miracle had occurred.

Since then I’ve had other dreams that foretold events that later occurred in the physical. I’ve learned that things really do seem to unfold first in the higher dimensions and later in the physical, and that we can meet these events in dreams prior to their occurrence. So far I haven’t been able to realize which dreams are premonitions until they actually occur. I’ve also noticed that, for me, some premonitions have more symbolic representation than others, and things don’t always turn out exactly like the dream – they can sometimes shift a bit. I definitely have found that dreams are a significant and valuable window into our own inner psychology, guideposts on what we most need to work on spiritually and sometimes into events that we will later experience in the physical. Remembering and writing down my dreams has become an extremely important and useful part of my spiritual practice.

Hello Gina,

Remember me? I met you at the North American retreat in Oregon. You told me about your son going to the military....

Well, it was really nice to read your story. I have had similar experiences and I too am trying to figure out precognitive dreams; how to know if it is one before it actually happens. Well, like you said, it just takes place in the higher dimensions first.

What's really cool, is that this morning, after not remembering much of my dreams for a few mornings now, I told myself that I should chant A in the day... then tonight, I come across your post and "randomly" read it. but it wasn't random, I must have been guided by something divine that wants to help me.

Take Care now,

Silvia

Thanks for sharing Gina, sounds like neat verification that there is more to the Astral then meats the eyes and that it is a real place. I had similar experience once where I saw the place in a dream both externally and its interior, where I have never been to before, and then about half a year or so later I had to do some chor on that same place and it looked exactly the same. Those kind of verifications can help a lot in the Inner work.
