Astral Projection

Flying on Beethoven's Notes

Sometimes the unexpected astral experiences are the most memorable.

Some time ago, I used to have the habit of listening to classical music when I couldn't fall asleep. I've found it calms me down, clearing my mind of excess thinking and lifting the burden of heavy emotions I'd often suffer from (e.g. anger).

A Truly Strange Experience I Cannot Comprehend

When I was about 6 or 7 one night I felt my body rising from my bed. It was a very terrifying sensation. The problem was that I was unable to move my body, my mind was wide-awake and it took a tremendous amount of effort to finally move to prevent this feeling of elevation from continuing.

This persisted about 3 or 4 times over a course of time until one night I just felt too mentally exhausted to try to fight it off so I just let myself go and allowed myself to continue floating up. The next thing that happened was that I found myself flying over green pastures. It felt real and I wasn’t in the least bit scared. I simply accepted it and enjoyed the ride so-to-speak.

But then for no apparent reason something quite dramatic happened, and even at the tender age of 6 or 7 I knew this was no dream, no figment of my imagination, but something very real. I crossed an invisible line and whilst still flying the colors I saw were more vivid than I had experienced in real life, the scenes I saw were more real and dramatic than I had ever encountered before, and the feeling of the wind in my face was real. I knew enough to realize this indeed was really happening and it was truly wonderful.

I never saw any part of my body, just the bluest sky I have ever seen in my life, the greenest landscape, the trees, everything. I didn’t control what or where I went, I just let myself be taken to wherever I was led.

Then, for no apparent reason everything was black. I wasn’t scared; I knew my journey was over. The next thing I recall was a feeling of a downward motion and I was back in bed still fully conscious but unable to move my body for a period of time, and then eventually regained feeling.

The next several times this happened to me was nothing short of amazing. What I saw and the experiences I encountered -- I wonder how many others have had similar experiences?

A few Experiences in the Astral Plane

The very first time I astral projected was quite by accident. A few years ago I lived with a bunch of friends in a rented house. It was not very often we were all home at the same time, but on this occasion most everyone was home and together were watching a movie in our living room. I wasn't in the room because I had decided earlier to take a nap. I wasn't even aware that anyone was home or together etc. I remember I woke from my nap and walked all the way down stairs (My bedroom was on the 3rd floor) and I came into the room where everyone was watching a movie.

FaRaOn Mantra

I finally did it. I astral projected using this mantra FaRaOn. I have projected with other mantras and techniques, but now I finally have the confidence of FaRaOn working like magic.

I had woken up very early, too early and several hours later and after I gave a stranger some advice on what they needed to work on to astral travel, I decided I needed to take a nap. I went to bed and started to chant FaRaOn. I decided to chant this mantra because it was the last mantra I chanted with a group at the Gnostic center.

Maiden voyage across the astral sky

This article describes one of my first astral projection exercises, achieved after roughly three months of practice. It happened quite unexpectedly, in the early morning hours.

First Experiences

Hello,

My first experience was when I was in my late teens or early twenties; I can’t remember the age exactly. I was aware of the concept of astral projection at the time but didn’t know much about it other than some confusing/vague books I had read about it.

My visit to Machu Picchu

This is a story of my struggle to get to the mystical location of Machu Picchu while taking The Gnostic Movement's online class. A goal was set for a week to try every day to project to this lost city of Incas. We were given the pictures of the location - usually ruins covered in fog, with fresh green grass growing among the stones. I liked the pictures very much, they had something in them that sparked my interest, and so i spent the entire week thinking about it and searching for even more pictures of this mysterious location.

My First Astral Projection

Hi Everybody,

I have begun following the Dream and Astral Projection course from The Gnostic Movement in January, 2010 and in the 2nd week had my 1st astral projection!

I am so excited about it that I want to share it with one and all who are open to the subject.

It was early morning - around 6 am. I was following the course's of the sessions and trying to remember my dream with the appropriate mantra.

An astral experience

An experience in the astral

A little while ago, I found myself in the astral, but the simplicity of that experience is what struck me. It left me with such a deep impression of that moment in time. Why that event? I don’t know, but it has been something I wanted to share with others. Perhaps because of its simplicity; perhaps because it had all the hallmarks of astral projection; perhaps because it was the result of a conscious effort to get there; nonetheless, this is what unfolded...

Child

Last October I finally made it to conscious astral projection. I say conscious because I recall 3 different projections distinctly, even though it felt like I had fallen asleep directly from practice. First of all I want to mention that I again asked (Divine) for assistance prior to starting practice. I also said that if I made it to AP, I want to learn what ever it is I need to learn..
