my first experience with AP
Hi Im new to the board.
Im schizophrenic which is what opened my eyes to this part of life.
I saw demons and all kinds of nasty stuff.
My first experience with astral projection happened a few months ago. I was waking up from a lucid dream when all of a sudden my body began to vibrate and I was pulled into another "place"(not my room anymore). I saw a person in the same area. When I looked at his face it was "off". When a face is "off" in my dreams, it usually means its a demon. Anyway I was not concerned with it. I was so excited to experience this new thing that my intention was to see my deceased grandparents. I kept our love in my heart and I think thats what protected me from the demon.
After that, I tried unsuccessfully to project in the day time. I was reading everything about astral projection I could get my hands on. So I tried to project right after waking up. I had success with that at least 6 times. Some of those were I guess "mental" projections because I could see a vision.
Almost the same as lucid dreaming visions but more vivid.
I've tried mp3s and stuff but they only work right after waking up and even then I don't really need sound.
Thanks for reading.
I did not find my grandparents at that time but I could tell that my love was keeping the entity away from me.
I am schizophrenic and I happened to see demons on my first and only audio/visual/paranoid hallucination.
At the time I thought it was all "reality" and that I was going to die that day.
In retrospect, I learned that they could not harm me and their goal was to get me to harm myself, which I came very close to doing out of fear. I was so scared I wanted to die so they couldn't get me.
I was paranoid in my house and I wanted to grab a knife from the kitchen drawer to kill myself. When I opened the drawer, my eyes did not see anything. In "reality" the knives were there. Divine intervention? Something definitely intervened...
I think my third eye was open uncontrollably for all of this to happen. As soon as the evil entities noticed that I was "aware", I was being attacked and told sadistic things were gonna happen to me.
There's a lot of details I'm leaving out but I don't want to scare anyone.
After all that happened, they started to appear in my dreams. Soon I wasn't scared anymore, rather just annoyed. They love to hassle me in my dreams. I like to piss them off by not showing any fear. Its a weird relationship. If you are wondering, I am stable and have been since that ONE incident.
Thank you for the book recommendation. Hopefully I can get the hang of conscious projection one day.
Hi MisterRugi
Thanks for sharing what you've had to go through lately. It's interesting how we can have certain experiences and feel like it's just us and we're all alone, but when we reflect on it we get the feeling that there's some kind of divine force helping or at least watching over us.
Nobody likes having to go through stuff like this but when we make it out the other end and find that we're ok then at least it shows that we have the capacity to endure some pretty tough situations.
If you're not doing it already, you may find it useful to set a firm astral goal before you lie down for your projection session. Sometimes if we have our mind set on some place we can project straight there or wake up from a dream directly in the place we wanted to go to, and this can be a useful way of lessening the chance of being interfered with before we get there.
I hope things improve soon.
Best wishes,
Anton
Hi MisterRugi,
Welcome to the site and for sharing your experiences. I can only add a little to the advice already given here.
You are welcome to subscribe to the free Astral and Self knowledge courses online. This way you have direct access to the forums for each course. You can then post questions and get specific detailed answers and help which are not always given in the public forums. Also, effective techniques are given to deal with negative entities.
The self-knowledge course also helped me a lot in understanding my own psychology and given me a real purpose in live.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Jaco
Hi MisterRugi, welcome to the site! I am a beginner to all this too; and I think what the others have said in this thread is great advise for me too. I wish you all success with your attempts to learn astral projection.
As for demons, I am not sure if they really exist. Aren't they more a reflection of our own fear? When you remembered your grandparents' love, you strengthened yourself and that's how they faded away.

Hi MisterRugi,
Pleased to meet you and welcome to the site :)
Congratulations on your first astral experience! I saw your post on another thread where you say that you thought you were pulled out of your body by a demon during this astral experience. The sensations you spoke of (the vibrations and the feeling of being ‘pulled out’), I often experience these same type of sensations too each time I project – that tingly feeling, everything vibrating, sometimes strange noises etc. These sensations are pretty normal (for me anyway), so it may not have been a demon pulling you out.
That being said, there are other beings in the astral, as you have discovered. There are spiritual beings, as well as some negative ones – and just like you worked out yourself you can tell the negative beings from looking into their face, particularly the eyes, their eyes usually give them away.
There is nothing to be worried about though - these negative entities can't physically harm us at all, but sometimes they will try to scare us. There is a lot of spiritual information and teachings that can be gained in the astral, and they will try to scare or mislead us away from gaining that knowledge. It's great that you were not concerned with it, it sounds like you intuitively knew it couldn't really harm you.
Did you find your grandparents in the end? That was one of my goals too when I started to astral travel, I wanted to find my Mum who had died, and eventually (after many failed attempts) I found her (I found her personality anyway, the part of her that had all of her memories and looked like Mum). It was a really cool experience, I wrote about it here: http://www.astralweb.org/article/what-happens-when-we-die
You mentioned that you were doing a lot of reading about astral travel too - have you read the book “When I go to Sleep?” If not I highly recommend it, it has a lot of really useful information about the astral and some very good techniques, it is the best one I have found and I had read a lot of stuff about it too: http://www.absolutepublishingpress.com/when-I-go-to-sleep
Good luck with your investigations, and thanks for sharing. I hope to hear more about your experiences as you have them!
Thanks,
Amy
